Graduate Network

As early as the 4th Century BC, Greek philosophers had theorized the world was spherical, but until the voyages of Christopher Columbus between 1492 and 1498 this was not a generally accepted hypothesis. If one strayed too close to the edge of the world in a sailing vessel, the perils of falling off the edge of the world would almost certainly await. Many parallels can be drawn as students graduate, and 'fall off' the edge of the university world - what may become of them?

The Grads Network aims to maintain our gospel partnership beyond the university world. That involves keeping in touch and running conferences that can support graduates in their context.

We seek to challenge our graduates to sacrificially support the next generation of campus workers by offering themselves, their prayers and their money to see Christ proclaimed on our campus.

2009 is an exciting year as the graduate network becomes 'of age' with a Trust having been set up to aid in the maintenance of the network. If you want to know more, or are worried you too might fall off the end of the world, get in touch with Dave Giesbers.

The CU Grad's network is part of a national movement of graduates seeking to see their faith at the heart of their professional, academic and personal lives. Catalyst through Catalyst groups in professions and disciplines, conferences, mentoring and resourcing is seeking to raise up graduates willing and able to share their faith verbally, apply it to the marketplace and academy constructively and live it out graciously.
