Regular Activities

The Christian Union has a range of meetings and events during Term Time, as well as conferences, camps, and other events on campus during the year.

Christian Union Public Meeting¶

Christian Unions public meetings have started this year. This is where we gather together to hear God's word spoken to us.

Where: The Tent on Ilam fields, beside Uni Hall.

When: Weekly, Tuesday 1:00pm - 2:00 pm

 

This semester we will be looking at the gospel of John, this is a great thing to bring a friend along to. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Small Groups: for Bible study, prayer, and evangelism¶

 

The engine room of Christian Union is our evening small group. We meet at 2 Maidstone Road where we share a meal together and then split up into small groups and study the bible together. Afterwards there is time for a coffee, tea, hot chocolate and casual chatting with people. 

Where: The Homestead(2 Maidstone Road, Ilam)

When: Wednesday evenings, 6pm.

There are also small groups which meet on the University of Canterbury campus during the day. Contact us for more info.

 

Fuel - Prayer Breakfast¶

Prayer, what a great way to start the day! Join with others in praying for each other and for our campus. Every Tuesday morning from 8am. Breakfast is provided.

Leadership Training¶

Will also not be happening until more rooms become available.

 

Social events¶

Throughout the year we organise various social activities such as movies, sports, and games nights. We also hold a combined Christian Ball.

 

Camps and Conferences¶

Last year's Canterbury Conference was on Guidance and the Voice of God. 

Coming up this year are:

• Easter Conference, 31st March - 4th April
• National TSCF Conference, 4th - 8th July 
Wainui Weekend Away, 17th - 19th August
